What Happens After You Submit Your Gift Aid Claim
1. Onscreen Notification
Shortly after you make your submission, you will be taken to the “Claims History” page and the notification below would be displayed.
2. Claim Status
The status of every claim is displayed on this page (claims history). The 3 possible statuses are “Submitted”, “Accepted” and “Rejected”. These are discussed in more details below’
Submitted: This is a temporary status, which simply means that HMRC has not yet confirmed whether the submission is accepted or rejected. This should change to “Accepted” or “Rejected” within a couple of minutes.
Accepted: The submission has been accepted and you can expected to receive funds within 4 to 5 weeks.
Rejected: The submission was NOT accepted. Click on the small green button for more information. You can also reach out to the support team on firstname.lastname@example.org.
